As we near the final stages of rehearsal and production, I’ve been bad about blogging to update what’s happening.  I’m pleased to report that we’re having very successful full run-throughs of the show with both of our sets of leads (the show is somewhat double cast, just to confuse everyone).

Public Rehearsals

We had a terrific "public rehearsal"  on Friday night 6/15, at the Lawn Party that opened SNCA’s SummerFest.  We performed the opening song, the first Rivers scene, the song "Come and Sit by the River", the Foot monologue, and then sang "Hold Fast to the Laughter."

A week of visiting artists and public performances

I’ve done little blogging this week, because it’s been a week of visiting artists and public performances.  Nick Slie of Mondo Bizarro was in Sautee Nacoochee on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, taping interviews, rehearsals, and taking a trip up the Tallulah River to shoot "b-roll."  On Thursday, Jo Carson, our primary playwright, arrived to watch [...]
